Isaiah 45:6
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.

Miyako church

Us at the Miyako church

Fatoma shimai

Here is Fatoma-shimai's baptism. She is one in Miyako. Apparently she took 2 years to get baptized.

Sister Sasaki

this is the baptism in Morioka that Ohira choro baptised. Sasaki shimai.

Iwaki family

Family in Iwaki. Way chill. This little girl on the left is way stoked on Christ. Tell's her Paps off all the time. He's not a member and smokes and doesn't like Jesus, but she always puts him in his place!

Roses

Ok, check this one out....that's right. My famous rose set-up. Look how happy she is! If she was sick, she definatly isn't now! Awesome, right!

This week.

So this week and last week and the week before that was all crazy weeks! 2 weeks ago we had Specialized Training and then Last week we had Zone Conference and this week is transfers! So we have been busy for a long time! So don't really remember all that I've said or what not...I probably haven't said anything for a while...my bad. But last week we had Zone Conference in Aomori on Tuesday, Morioka on Wednesday, Sendai on Thursday, and Niigata on Friday. So on Monday the 5th we had the medical doctors come to the mission for Zone Conference, and Ohira choro and I were the Caddy's. So we went to the Shinkansen on Monday to pick them up and then for every night that week we went to the hotel they were staying at and dropped off their stuff, then went to the elders apartment that were living in the area. So Aomori on the 6th. It was snowing like crazy there. We set up the Conference and it was a pretty good one. The medical doctors talked about their thing, and then President did a training on Finding, and then Ohira choro and I were pretty much just the people that set everything up and made it go smooth. I also translated at every one of the Zone Conferences for over 5 hours a piece. Both in English for the Japanese speakers, and in Japanese for the English speakers. Crazy stuff, but at the conference, everyone got to open their letter from home, and read a letter from their family for Christmas. I have to say that if I were to rank the spiritality of the different Zone Conferences I would have to say that Morioka was definately the best one. Everyone was so united! It was awesome. That's one thing that I bet you can't get in any big mission. Our mission really feels like a family. Everyone was testfying that they were here with their family this Christmas season, and that the Sendai Mission is their family. So awesome! The Zone Conferences were a blast! We also did a gift exchange and there were tons of way funny gifts. The requirements were that it had to be white and it had to be under 200yen, so some people got a foam block, a fly swatter, a toilet brush, but the best one was a picture of Elder Dowdy, one of the missionaries, dressed up in a white tie, white shirt, white pants, white background, white bandana, with a HUGE smile and a thumbs up, with a white picture frame that said "Let's see a White Christmas!", it's probably a "you had to be there" thing, but it was way funny non-the-less. Anyways then on the 10th we came back to Sendai to do a Baptism Interview for the Nagamachi Elders, and they are going to see a baptism on Saturday. Way cool, right? But that night we went to the Ishinomaki Christmas Event and it was amazing! That branch is usually only like 20 people that go to church, but at the Christmas Event they had 54 people there in attendance. It was way cool. The branch president's son, brought like 6 of his friends and one of the members that is a teacher, brought 5 of her workmates. And I couldn't believe how good Ishinomaki's Event was. Ridiculous! So we spent the night in Ishinomaki, and they only had one blanket and a dinky electric heater...I froze that night. Woke up at about 4 am and it was freezing. Ishinomaki's apartment in empty right now because there are no missionaries in Ishinomaki because it is still in the process of recovering from the Tsunami, but the next morning was the Primary program and it was really good. The 5 primary kids bore their testimony and sang songs and it was way inspiring. So on Sunday night we had a new couple come into the mission. Yamanita Couple and they will be going to a place called Miyako. Since there is still no missionaries there because of the Tsunami, they are going to go their and start things up again. The next day we visited the Abukawa Family and gave Rina-chan a present because she was feeling sick and such. We are also trying to get them back to church too, so it was a good visit. She was super happy that we gave her that present. I'll put a picture up here of it. On the 13th was the last of the service for this month. We went to Minami Sanriku...way devistated by the Tsunami, and we got to work in front of the hospital that was there (destroyed), and we picked up junk. But during the service we talked to a bunch of people that were from Tokyo and they all spoke perfect English and it was really good. Before we left we sang a Christmas song to the Volunteer Center and it was pretty good. Everyone that was there gathered around us and watched us...awesome. So for the last 3 days I've been in Yokote, helping the Elders there get started on their work. They just opened up a new area and so they don't have much to work with, but we went there and helped them out for the last few days. I also got to participate in the District meeting there, and I learned tons! It was on Finding. So me and Elder Christensen dendo'd around a little bit and we went searching for this guy called the Cho-nai-kai-cho. So apparently he is an elected position that is pretty much suppose to take care of the neighborhood, in the process we talked to a lot of people and eventually found him, he said he would come to church on Sunday! Woo! Then we also went to the Huge hospital in Yokote and talked to the front desk guy about sharing our message of hope with the families of those that are sick and need help. Then we went to a bunch of Conveniant stores and asked them to put English Class fliers in their windows, also the laundermat. then we came home and planned out transfers for next week. Who is going where and what time their bus is and how much it costs and things like that. But then going back to last week, I had tons to do last week too. We went to Iwaki church on the 4th and it was crazy awesome! The members there are awesome! I love them. My goal, when I go to a new place on Sunday, is to memorize everybodies name, and Ohira choro and I do a fairly good job with it. Ishinomaki members and the Fukushima members, the Iwaki members, everyone yo. Lately, in the car...since we drive the same streets all the time...Tohoku Expressway, we have started to memorize the cities that we past through. All the way from Sendai to Aomori, so we have been trying to memorize everything recently, so hopefully my mental capacity goes up, or at least something good comes from driving all the time. So I think I'm going to put some pics up now, but that's all I've got today. Love ya!

Members

This is another family in the ward. We just went for a little visit and it was really good. They told us that we could come back and do FHE with all of them. So we are hoping we can do something with them next week.

Kusaka Family

So this was the appoint that we had on our way back from Yonezawa and this family is awesome! We taught them about the talk that President Monson gave on feeling the spirit, and how he felt like he should announce someone that wasn't present to be the first speaker...I think you know what I mean. But we talked about that with the Kusaka family and it was great! Love them so much!

Yonezawa church

So this is the Yonezawa church and we moved the couple missionaries from Koriyama to Yonezawa and we were running late on an appointment and we couldn't find anyone on the street to take our picture, so we just did one on one. Then on our way home from Yonezawa we were late for our appointment by like an hour and a half...but we made it! Crazy day!

Koriyama church

This trip down to Koriyama was a crazy one. I had pull some strings to get this picture. It's pretty intense though. Apparently there is a huge crack in the building and they are redoing it all...so its in pretty bad condition. Not to mention, we had to pull the missionaries out of Koriyama, and the members are super depressed about it. I would be too if I was in their situation.

Yamagata church

Here is the Yamagata church and we came here to see Elder Takei (a new district leader) and his training. He trained us on how to have unity in the companionship. It was a really good District Meeting. We also got to see one of the new missionaries. One of my old companion, Elder Ruefenacht became a trainer so we got to see him in action too.

Tsuruoka church

Here is Tsuruoka. We went here the other day to see how things were going with their English Class, and other stuff. Back in Tsuruoka...I love that place, but I don't want to go back there for proselyting.

Candy man

Last one...this is a guy in Ishinomaki whose candy shop got destroyed by the tsunami, but then has since opened his candy shop back up...and we got to see the machines...yeah!!!! So great!

Yokote church

So this is the church that we have been in the process of opening up. It's in a place called Yokote and the branch is like 10 people, but it's pretty cool. We have been talking to real estate agents and such to try and get an apartment here in Yokote so that we can send some missionaries here. It's a real big pain, but in the end it will all be for the better. Yokote branch really needs some missionaries to get some stuff going. They haven't had missionaries for about 3 years I think, and they just have no hope. But it should be opening in about a week or so. The members prayers will be answered.
As for everything else that goes on...I am just so busy all the time...I don't even know what I'm busy with, but It's crazy over here! In the next week we have to go close 4 apartments and then start shipping stuff up to new apartments, and we have to go on splits and stuff, but it's great cause my goal is to go to every church in the mission! I'll let you know when I accomplish that goal. It's going to be great! At any rate...have a blast in wherever you are! Love ya! Bye...

Calligraphist

So this is the other guy...He wrote some pretty cool calligraphy for me and Elder Narita...he is way good at it, and it was just so cool to see him use his talents to help people. When youre serving people, youre serving God.

Keita-san...the guitar man

Check this cool guy out. This guy is from south Japan and he comes all the way up to Ishinomaki to play the guitar for people. Everyone sits in a room and he opens the window and plays anything! So cool. That's what I call using your talents to help lift the needy. Him and this other guy do this kind of activity together. One plays guitar and the other does calligraphy, and writes something cool for people.

Kamisugi church

Here is home sweet home...actually my old home, but yeah. Kamisugi!! Love it!

Ishinomaki church

This is the Ishinomaki church. I love Ishinomaki so much! It's one of the coolest places to be. This is one of the cities that was effected the most by the tsunami. After church this day we got to deliver 3 or 4 stove burners to people without ANYTHING! Do you know what it feels like to give someone an actual LIFE-LINE? It's a crazy feeling...we would walk into someones house and they would literally have nothing. Then you see their eyes light up when you hand them a stove at the beginning of November when it's starting to get cold. THAT, my friends, is the work of God. Of course we have to help people spiritually, but in Ishinomaki there is countless of chances to help people materially, which in turn boosts their spirit. It's amazing. Can't even put into words...

Aomori in the Fall

This is on the way to Aomori. We were going along and Elder Ellis said he needed a break for a second so we got out and took some pictures...way pretty right? I might have put this in an email already...I can't remember, but Aomori is way pretty in the fall! Gorgeous!

Hachinohe church

This is the Hachinohe church...this area is known for being my MTC companions eternal resting place. He has been here in Hachinohe for over a year now...haha, but we love Elder Shaw is the one of the best missionaries in the mission. He has trained 3 companions already so he is one of the best.

Hirosaki church

This is the Hirosaki church. It's by far the coolest church that I've been to. The inside looks like a traditional japanese house. The primary room is in a tatami room. Way cool. The sisters are working hard here. We stopped this one kid on a bike, all 5 of us, and he was probably scared out of his mind, but it all turned out ok. They also invited him to the halloween party that Hirosaki was going to have. Hirosaki is also way famous for their apple juice....Aomori apples are some of the best in the world.

Odate church

Here is the Odate church. This is probably one of the smallest areas in the mission, and Elder Dowdy, (the white one thats not me) is really good friends with the branch president and we always joke about how Elder Dowdy is going to be in Odate forever!

Thanks!

Well I hope 13 pictures is enough for this week, but yeah. Thanks for always looking at the site! Lately Narita choro and I have been going into Universities and talking to school Administration and stuff in order to do presentations in classrooms, and today we got a huge chance! It was pretty awesome, and it definatly was a miracle that was had today. Amazing how the Lord works in ways we aren't expecting. But in a week we will be going to a school and going into a class of about 500 students and giving a 20 minute presentation on the Service that we are doing and how Mormon Helping Hands is associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's going to be crazy, but it'll be sick! I am a little nervous, because Japanese people don't like "Mormons" at all, but It'll be good. I'm super excited! That's pretty much what's going on here, besides traveling to a fro...from place to place. I Love Dendo!

Primary Jamboree

This is another one of the service related activities that have been going on. In the US somewhere...I think it was Washington, or Oregon, but they sent the people in Sendai a package of blankets and games to the Primary here, and this was the primary in our Ward, and they seemed to like it. So that was pretty good. Thanks Primary Presidents in the Pacific North-West.

Service

So this has been our service group stuff for the past few months. We get to go out and serve the people in our yellow shirts. And this was a group of strawberry farmers that needed to get their strawberrys going before the winter months, because apparently the strawberrys are used for Christmas cakes for all of Northern Japan, and we helped them clean up their fields and help the strawberries grow for Christmas. Way chill.

Halloween

This was the end of our halloween party...it turned out really good, we had some people that hadn't been to church in a long time come to church the next day and the party was obviously amazing! Look at that pinata!

A Tank

k...check this out...this here is a tank! A tank running on the highway at like 100k/m. A Tank! Couldn't even believe our eyes so we took a picture of it.

Scout Activity

Here is us at a scouting activity. It was way fun. It was only for a day. We had a fire and we made Imoni (special kind of soup) and then we did field games and pitched a tent (that we didn't even use...we just pitched it just to pitch it), played flag tag and then did a relay race with two sticks and a blanket...whats it called...a gurney...a stretcher...I dunno...but it was super fun...there was also a tree house that we played in with the kids. Awesome!

Morioka church

This is the Morioka church building...there is a beautiful lake right in front of the church that is just magnificent! Loved it! Morioka was way fun. We went on splits with the Elders there and it was a blast!

Kitakami church

This is us in front of the Kitakami church...there is garbage on the ground in front of it which was unfortunte, but non-the-less...here it is.

Akita family...super cool

Here is the family from Akita that we met and the mom used to be a LA, but then came back to the church right when her kids became old enough to get baptized, and then Narita choro got to Baptise Momo-chan, the girl standing next to him in he picture, so it was way cool to see them! The mom graduated from Weber State University

Akita

So here in Akita...this is my companions bean area...where he started his mission, and we went and talked to a bunch of administration in 2 different universities in Akita and we had a miracle story about getting into the school. So end result, the missionaries can go and make presentations in a Member's English class at the school. It was fantastic! Loved Akita...and there is a way chill family that we met there that graduated from Weber State University.

Nagamachi

This is the area were I worked a year ago and that I'm working in now...this is the Nagamachi church.

Aizuwakamatsu

Welcome to Aizu~!

Niigata

This is the Niigata church after one of our trainings.

Nagaoka

So lately we've been going around to the different places and churchs in our mission and I've been taking a picture of all of the churchs, and made a collection...so This is the Nagaoka church.

Bridge...

This is me driving on a one way street with death written on both sides of the bridge.

Temple by the aburaage

We went on a camping trip (obviously not overnight) with the boy scouts and then right after that, we went to this one place where aburaage (this tofu stuff) is way famous so we went there and then we found a temple thing and took a picture of it...pretty cool.

Winter is coming...

It was getting kinda cold and so we busted out our winter jackets...and this is what came of it. from the left (Mizuochi choro, Ellis choro, Me, Page choro.)

District meeting!

This was one of the last district meetings that we had before one of the sisters went home and before I got transferred to the mission home. But we had a huge district!

Late night dash home!

So this was a pretty crazy night! So we had a Sports night and we played volley-ball and basketball and stuff, but then it was getting down to the limits and it was almost 9:00, so we were going to be late...but then that night I met one of my converts that was baptised from last year and we did a really quick lesson with him and so if we do a lesson then we can be home by 9:30, so that gave us about 25 extra minutes to get home, we still had the subway (20 minutes) to take and then when we got into Sendai station we would have still had to get our bikes and book it home, which would've taken the normal person about 20 minutes. So we had like 25 minutes to go 40 minutes worth of distance and Page choro and I booked it! and we got home at exactly 9:30! Plus we got our planning done on the subway...which is this picture. No one was on the subway so we actually prayed kneeling in the middle of the lane...haha.

Mei chan's baptism!

So this was another one of the Baptisms that we saw in Kamisugi! Awesome, right? So Page choro and I found Mei-chan on the street one day and it was on the first day that we brought her back to the apartment and on the way to the church while we were walking back, I had to get on the phone and try to get someone to meet us at the church because we aren't allowed to teach females unless there is another male present, so I was calling all the people that I could and finally I got ahold of Brother Jun, and he happened to be getting ready to leave from the church and we told him that we had an investigator coming and asked if he could stay for just like 30 minutes, and he was pretty chill about it, so we taught her lesson 1 right there from off the street. It was pretty tight! Then right after that, the next day, we had a takoyaki party that she came to and made friends with all the members, and by then she was in...haha. We taught her a few more lessons and then we passed her to the sister missionaries and they did the rest of the lessons, but Mei chan is awesome! So chill!

From supportive sisters!

So this week I am just going to put a bunch of pictures up and give a little description of what happened. So it was late one day and I'm pretty sure both me and Page choro were both tired out of our minds and we show up to the door and the Sisters in our area did this for us. Pretty cool eh? There is a picture of all of the 4 missionaries living in this apartment. It was pretty nice of them though.

Sendai mission, most unique mission in the world!

So, sorry for not having much time, but I have found like 8 minutes to type something up really quick, and thats about it. This week for P-day we were helping the new missionaries out with different things. There was about 4 sisters and 2 elders that came in from the MTC...actually I think that was Tuesday, but It's all just a blur to me, so we did that, and I have been trying to get on the ball with this AP thing, trying to figure it all out and stuff, but yeah, it's way fun! Way busy, but way fun! My companion is super funny too. He is trying to get into BYU, and he is hilarious. We get along pretty well though so it's great! We also had Service yesterday too. We are going to be going to service every Tuesday so that will take a lot of time. Then we are going to be travling around to all of the different areas to give trainings to all the missionaries, so for the rest of the month, all my Thursays and Fridays are going to consist of being in different areas and giving trainings with the Mission President and my Companion, it'll be good stuff. So yeah, we are going to be super busy. Anyways, but we did get a new investigator the other day. His name is Sho, and he is way funny! Super cool, I met him the other day on the street when I was still a Kamisugi missionary, and I gave him as a refferal to the Elders here, but they didn't contact him, and then I transfered here so I gave him a call and then he met us at the church on Sunday, and we taught him about the church a little bit, then we set up another appointment on Sunday next week, so hopefully we can meet with him, but as for investigators that's our only hope so far. We haven't had time to get investigators so that's our only hope! But it's still great, love it here! Sendai is definatly a different place now. We have no culture and we have a brand new mission president and he has this great opportunity to shape the mission into whatever he wants it to be. It's way great! We are the only mission in Japan that gets to go and do service for the people that got hit by the tsunami, every week! This mission is the best mission in the world! Get used to it! Well I gotta go, love you all!

Mei's Baptism!

So this week was pretty good, and bad. We got transfer calls this week and turns out I'm going to the Honbu again! I'm not going to be Page choro's companion, and I'm not going to be in the blessed Kamisugi ward anymore! Aghhh! But I guess I'll have to get over it. I'm going to be in Nagamachi again. So it's a reunion from a year ago! Pretty sweet if you ask me. Yeah, I'm one of the assistants to the President, and my new companion is Narita choro. The second Japanese companion I've had, ever! Pretty sweet, but I'm still sad that I have to leave Kamisugi, and Page choro. Page choro is actually staying here and a missionary named Watanabe choro is going to come be the Zone Leader here. But I hear that my job is going to be way hard. Narita choro and I pretty much have to do all the office work and stuff, so it'll be a little overwhelming and what not, but I think it will still be fun. So I leave tonight, with the other 2 AP's, so that we can get ready to welcome the new missionaries coming in. Anyways, we had another Baptism this week! Yay, her name is Mei! Page choro and I found her maybe a month ago, and she got baptized this week! Awesome! I'll have to send a picture soon, but that was a way good experience. Page choro and I taught her, maybe about 3 times and then we decided that it probably was a good idea to pass her to the Sisters in the area, so we did that. A guy named Brother Ryoma baptized her and Sister Onda (one of the missionaries) is crazy good at everthing, so she put together the program and preparation and everything for the baptism and it was one of the best baptisms that I've ever been to! Way cool experience, but yeah, there is an investigator named Naoto-san that we have been working a lot with and hopefully he will get baptized next month. He showed up to Mei's baptism and after the meeting he was going around telling everyone that he is going to get baptized, so hopefully that means that his hope for getting baptized is way high! Anyways, there is him, and then tonight we are going to go to the Sugawara couples house. They are investigators that Page choro and I found about a month ago, and they are way cool. Pretty old, but they have a nice house, and they are feeding us tonight. It's going to be a great meeting. Last time we gave them an introduction DVD about the church so we are going to follow-up with them to see if they saw it and tell us if it was any good. But as for this week, that's pretty much it. I'm sorry it's always short, but that's pretty much it. Hope everything is going good down there! Love you all!

Split week

Ok, so for this week, I was not in my area for most of the week. Page choro was in Kamisugi the whole week, and I went on spilts a ton of times. So on Wednesday I went up to Nagamachi to go on splits with the Assistants, and Page choro stayed in Kamisugi. Then I was there half of Thursday and then I went to Izumi on Thursday and then stayed over until Friday afternoon, then on Friday night we had a way good activity. Then on Sunday we had church, so essentially I only had Saturday to work here. So Tuesday we went finding and we found this one girl and invited her to come to the activity we had on Friday. She and her little sister came. It was a Tie-dye party, and they seemed to have way fun! Anyways...so then Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I was in different areas, and it was pretty fun. It's way cool to be able to teach people how to dendo, and give people your experiences and tell them the ways you overcame different obsticals. It's pretty fun to see people improve and to grow. So that is essentially what I did for the 3 days during the week. But then on Sunday we had 209 people come to church and it was pretty crazy. It seems like everyone that comes to Sendai to volunteer with Helping Hands, always ends up coming to church here in Kamisugi. So we had 100 volunteers here in Kamisugi, and it made church crazy huge! It was also Ward Conference, so it made it way big! But there was this guy from California that was there that we translated for, and we gave him a book of mormon and he has passed by the san diego temple all the time. Then on Monday...yesterday we did a Super Dendo day, and we dendo'd with a bunch of the youth and it was way good. We set a Baptism Date and got 2 investigators that day, so yeah, it was a great day yesterday. But I haven't really dendo'd with Page choro in a few days...kinda sad, but next week we will be able to. That's about all for this week. Love you all!

Short week...Ujie-san

Well this week was pretty good. We had one major thing happen, and that was the Zone Taikai. Aoyagi choro came over and talked to us about a ton of stuff. The main thing that I got out of the whole thing, was about when we are teaching younger people. Aoyagi choro was a convert when he was little and the one thing he needed was his parents permission and so we talked about how to explain to parents about this church and what things parents find frightening about religion and such. It was pretty inspiring, at least to me. We also practiced smiling and complementing people...it was pretty awesome. It was a pretty good conference. This week we met this guy named Ujie-san. He is probably the most humble person that I've ever met in my life. We met him right outside of the church and he told us that the missionaries have tried to stop him tons of times before and he has always rejected them, but this time he decided to listen to the message because he didn't even know how he was going to live the next day. So yeah, he decided to listen to the message, and at first he had only a little tiny bit of faith, but we met him again today and he has opened up so much! I've decided that in order to get baptized, first you have to be humble, and the second thing is that you have to have the energy to do the commitments, and if you do the commitments and you are humble, then you can pretty much be baptized. So the reason I'm stoked for Ujie-san, is because he is humble...WAY humble....the very first things he said to us was that "I don't think God is watching over us, and I don't thing God knows the thoughts and intents of our mind..." Just like he knew exactly what to say, except for opposite. But he finally broke down and decided to meet with us to hear what we have to say, and he is going up so far. It's way exciting to see people like him. Anyways, Yeah that's pretty much been my week so far. We have just been trying to find people, and we had the Zone Conference. Also Tagajo...the neighboring area opened for Dendo! So we sent the Sisters over there. Hopefully they do good! Yeah! Other than that, we just keep truckin' down here in Sendai. Having the time of our lives! Dendo is awesome!

Only 2 days to dendo...

Hey so this week, I don't have my planner so I don't really remember what happened, but I'll give it my best. So this week, we had a P-day on Monday, and we pretty much just kicked it, like we usually do. But then on Tuesday we had our service and we went to cut strawberry bushes. It was pretty fun. There was an investigator there that did homestay in Utah and she hasn't been baptized yet, but she is planning on getting baptized soon! So I talked to her for a while. She was way cool. Loved the church and is going to go on a mission and get married in the temple, and she's not even baptized yet. But yeah, so service was way good, I always love the chance to go to service and help people out, it's great! Anyways, then on Wednesday we had Zone Leader council, and spent the day figuring out what was going to happen. This mission is changing up a lot again. It's pretty crazy. Anyways...then on Thursday, we spent the day finding people, and there was this family called the Sugawara family that we had set up an appointment with earlier and we went to their house and they fed us shabushabu...its pretty much a meat and vegi steamed food. It was a way fancy dinner though. And they became new investigators so that we way good, earlier that day we had another appointment with a college kid and he became a new investigator as well. It was a well planned out week. We only had 2 days to really dendo, and we still got way good things going. On Friday and Saturday we went to Tsuruoka again, to go on splits with them over there. It was way fun, and we got a lot done. They are starting to get things going over there, so it's pretty awesome! Anyways, that pretty much summed up my week. We had a way good dendo day on Thursday and then all the other days we we're either in meetings, service, or somewhere totally different. I love dendo! Sorry this was so short, but that's pretty much it. Love ya!

What's up Sendai?

So this week on Monday we had Takeshi-san's first AB Lesson. It was pretty good. We talked about the Pioneers of the church. Talked about Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail and about the seagulls that saved the pioneers in Utah, and it was a way good lesson. Lately we have been just trying to find people all over the place. All of our Investigators dropped us. Way sad, but yeah, so we are pretty much starting at 0 again. So all of our time consists of trying to find people. On Wednesday we had Eikaiwa again, and after it we had a party for Takeshi-san because it was his birthday! So we made a cake and presented it to him. So then this week we also went to Furukawa and did splits with them there. Ellsworth choro and his new missionary are working way hard down there and we just went to help them out a little bit. On Friday we came back from Furukawa and right after we came back we had a lesson with a girl named Mei, and we passed her to the shimais. She's way good though. Too bad we didn't keep her...haha. Ohh well. After Mei's lesson we had another activity and it was pretty awesome. My baptism from a year ago was there at the activity and he was doing way good. It's the first time I've seen him for a really long time. Ohh and then the other day me and Mizuochi choro were on splits in Kamisugi and we got attacked by a drunk man. It was pretty retarded, but whatever. So I stopped him in the street and he started to get fired up at me because I am a foriegner and so then I started walking away and before I knew it he was running after me, so I figured I could either put him down right there or try not to make a fuss of things, so I kinda just jog/ran away...he was way old...haha. Then Mizuochi choro stayed afterwards at tryed to talk him out of coming to the church. and during all that we got spilt up a little bit, but I kind of went back to see what was going on with Mizuochi choro and him and before I knew it the guy grabbed his tie and tryed to beat him up but he ran away...(the opposite way) So we got split up and we have no idea what happened to the drunk old man, but it was pretty intense. Anyways this week was pretty good. So hopefully it will be a ton better next week. We kind of need investigators...but other than that everything it great!
