Isaiah 45:6
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.

Have you ever thought about "time"?

Hey this week was the bomb! I just wanted to say something real quick because I have about 0 time right now. But we are teaching this guy named Takeshi-san, and he is pretty good. He said that he has made tons of bad mistakes in his life a long time ago, and really wants to change his life, and he wants to join this church, and he is going to come to church every Sunday from now on, and we are also teaching him tonight. His Baptism Date is on the 13th of next month, so hopefully it goes down. I'm expecting it. We do a ton of stuff here in Kamisugi...it's awesome. I love it in Sendai...way tiresome, but way awesome! We are also teaching this one girl named Mariko-san, and she busted up in tears last lesson because she felt that there was a God that loved her so much. It was pretty awesome. We are also meeting her in like 15 minutes so thats the reason I don't have much time, but yeah, we are going to teach her the Plan of Salvation today and try to get her to see that the plan of Salvation is all about Gods love for us. It should be good. Lets see...Other than those two...we also went down to Tsuruoka again recently! I went on splits with the elders there and tryed to help them get some stuff done, but I'm not sure it went all according to plan. hopefully they start finding some people to teach. There has just been so much stuff going on...it's crazy! The sisters also want to do like a companion exchange, because the sisters in our area are having a little bit of a hard time finding people, and our whole zone is kind of on the down hill side of things, so we need to start getting everyone stoked for dendo. Along with going to a place called Ishinomaki every other week, we have tons of stuff that we have to plan and do and it's great! I'm way tired, but its great that we have so much of an opportunity to do all these different things. I've actually kind of decided that my Preparation Day is one of the most exhausting days of the week. Crazy, right? Well I've got to go, maybe next week I'll have some more time. Good luck with everything!

Kamisugi is crazy awesome!

So this week was a great week! Page choro and I tore it up this week. Bad news is, that I haven't had any time to write in my journal this week, so I'm not exactly sure what happened on what day this week. Well last week, I think I was the only Zone Leader, but not anymore. So last Monday my companion Page choro became a Zone Leader. Crazy eh? He's on his 3rd Transfer, but he is doing way good. So this week we had 2 splits with other companionships, and then we set 2 Baptism dates and had a crazy awesome activity today. So when we went on splits with the AP's this week, it was pretty good. I got to dendo with Narita choro and Holbrook choro. There was this lesson that I did with Narita choro with a guy named Okuya-kun, and he has been going off the deep end for some time now, but in this lesson he was telling us a really weird expirience that happened to him. So he likes horror movies and when he rented this one horror movie, apparently it was way bad, and he just kept getting really bad, evil feelings inside but he just couldn't turn the movie off, and then he kept watching it and watching it and eventually got through the whole thing, and he felt like crap. And so he decided to pray and for the whole rest of the night...which was probably a few hours...the only thing he could think off was this church and how important it was, he said that he just couldn't get this church out of his mind, and that his desire for Baptism grew tons! Of course he is still 19, so we can't baptism him, but I thought it was a way cool expirience. So then also this week, I got to go to a place called Izumi, it's about a 20 minute bike ride away, and I spilt with Andrus choro, and we had a really good time in Izumi, he is ended his mission real soon, so we got to discuss a bunch of things that he learned and what he feels is important to the mission, so it was really good. Andrus choro is a Legendary missionary. But during our split, Page choro, my companion, taught a lesson to a girl named Mariko, and Me and Page choro found her the other day, but it was crazy! They did the lesson and set a Baptism Date! It was great! Page choro did a great job. I can't really give anything on that expirience cause I wasn't there, but apparently it was great! The second Baptism Date was with a guy named Takeshi, and he was pretty awesome! So 2 days ago we decided that we were going to go dendo, as usual, and so we go to dendo and we get on the street, and we decide that we better cross the street and do the other side of the street this time, so we cross the street, the first person we talk to gives us their phone number and then we go to the second guy and we talk to him, and then we bring him to the church, and then we teach him a lesson (which is probably one of the best lessons I've ever taught in my life.) and then commited him to Baptism right there. The Spirit was crazy during that lesson. He was understanding everything we were saying, and he really felt like this Baptism thing was the thing for him. We also commited him to keep his Sundays open so that he can come to church, and he accepted, and then to pray and he accepted. Then we also invited him to come to the activity that happened today, and he showed up! He is definatly the golden of all goldens...this guy is getting baptised for sure...there is not even a sliver of doubt in my mind. The activity we had today was way good too. The Elders and the Sisters came to the church at about 10:00 this morning and we filled up about 500 water balloons. Then later on that day we had a Huge water balloon fight and then we had a good game of eating Somen...it was crazy awesome! We did a two person eating contest, and a bunch of other food contests, it was way good. Also Takeshi-san came to it and he had a way good time. So I guess that was it for this week. Thanks a ton!

Sorry, not too long...

So this week, not really much happened, maybe...we had a transfer for the whole mission. We didn't transfer, but there were a bunch of other people that did. So me and Page choro just stood at the Bus stop and conducted everything. But we got tons of people to listen to us. It was a really good day even though we just stood there at the bus stop, so go figure, but yeah. The people that were transfering dendo'd for us, so it was good. Then on Friday we did a long weekly planning session and it was pretty good. We got a ton of things planned, with the members and with what we are going to teach for the next week. We also had tons of meetings on Friday night, so today was a very long day of planning. Then on Saturday, we had 2 really good lessons. One was with Xhing-san and his lesson was really really good! We were talking about the plan of salvation and he was way into it! He also read the Book of Mormon and was praying, so it was a really refreshing feeling that someone was actually doing the things we were asking them. Page choro was way excited because we actually got someone that was doing the things we were asking them to do. Then we had a lesson with Hideo-san, he was the self-referal that wanted a Book of Mormon in English, so at the end of this lesson we asked him to Pray and he did a really beautiful prayer for us, for a 1st time prayer it was way good. Then Sunday was good once again, there was a Peruvian there and he needed translation, so I translated for him. Sunday is always really good, I love the church in Sendai! It's awesome! Well that's about all I got for now...but yeah. The mission is amazing! I'm just super worn out right now, because I went with Ellis choro to do his shopping, but yeah, the mission is the best thing ever! Thanks for everything! Bye-bye!

President Rasmussen, the Lord's mouthpiece!

So this week has been a pretty good week! So on Tuesday last week we had a district meeting and it was the biggest district meeting that I've been too. It was pretty fun. We talked about how we can work with the members more and stuff. Came up with some really good ideas and shared with each other about how we could go about doing more member work. One of the main differences in the Sendai and the Sapporo mission is that in Sapporo the members were always fired up, but in Sendai it was not so much...it seemed like the members in Sendai are getting tired and a little worn out, so we were thinking about how we could work with them more to gain their trust and to rejuvenate them. It was a pretty good district meeting. Then later that night we did a role-play (Mogi) with one of the members here in Kamisugi...when I was a 2nd transfer I mogied with him and he was so hard on me, but when Page choro mogied with him it was totally fine and the mogi went way good. On wednesday, we pretty much had only finding time all day, but it was really good. We talked to tons of people...I love Sendai...just walked down the street and talked to every single living thing that we saw. Then at around 5ish...President Daniels, the former Sapporo Mission President, came down to eat some dinner with us, because he was on his way to do service in Sendai, so we got to eat dinner with him one last time. Then for Eikaiwa Page choro rocked it. He did a way good job, and this is probably the first time that I've seen a good Eikaiwa session...granted, Page choro doesn't use the same book that we were told to use, but he still makes it way fun and people learn a lot!  Thursday...while we were at the church doing benkyo President Rasmussen came to the church for a tour or something, and we happened to be there and so we got to talk to him a little bit, and it was pretty good. We also found a lot of good people on the streets and a few of them might come to Eikaiwa tonight (July 6th). On friday, we did a weekly planning session and planned out how to work with the members more effectively. We also had two lessons with some people and one of them we set a baptism date with, so that was pretty awesome. He was actually an investigator before the earthquake and so we just set another one with him. One of the members jointed in with us on that lesson and Shinohara kyodai was a way good joint. We got 2 new Investigators that day. On Saturday we also got 2 more new investigators, we taught a lesson with a guy named Xhing, and we set a baptism date with him too. Then during the day there was a random guy that called the church that wanted to read the Book of Mormon in English and so we met with him and he became a new investigator. Then on Sunday another random person came to church and we taught him a lesson afterward and it turns out that he met with the missionaries a long time ago and so we taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we committed him to Baptism...he said yes, but we felt like we shouldn't set a date with him, so we didn't ask, but then after church we got another lesson with this guy named Al and he is Chinese too, but we taught him and his lesson was really good. We set a Baptism date with him too. He was even asking what he could do in between the time we met him and the next time we were going to meet him...way awesome! So overall this week we got 3 new Baptism dates and 6 new investigators, and most of it happened in the space of 3 days...so this week was definitely a miracle week. Then on Tuesday the next week...so yesterday...we had a Zone Conference with President Rasmussen, and it was way good! I got to conduct the meeting and Ellis choro and I did a way good training on committing boldly and promising blessings, Very uplifting and Spiritual meeting. Rasmussen kaicho is definitely called of God. He is way different from Tateoka's, but They are awesome! They are going to do so good for this mission. Later that night Page choro had a war with one of the members in a mogi. it was on the word of wisdom, but it was way good and Page choro finally won the battle! Well thats all I have for this week. it was a way good week, and as for transfers...we are getting another elder in our apartment and then me and Page choro are companions now...ellis choro and Mizuochi choro are comps now, and the Zone Leaders went down to only one. So I'm the Zone Leader of the biggest and busiest Zone in the mission...go figure...it's going to be a busy transfer. Well wish me luck! Thanks for everything!
