Isaiah 45:6
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.

Praying makes the world go round

So this week was way awesome! There was so many good things this week,
it kinda blew my mind. So the best thing this week was that we had the
Sasahara's come to church and then another investigator Naoko-san come
to church this week. Hopefully they had a good time. Sasahara's kids
went to Primary and it was pretty good. We also got to teach this one
guy named Kin-san. He is an Eikaiwa student and I'm pretty sure that
the reason that he wanted to investigate the church was because of a
member that came to Eikaiwa. He really wanted to know why our church
is so active and why everyone is so friendly? He thought that we must
have a dark side to us because there is no way that everyone could be
so friendly! So we taught him about the restoration and after English
Class he came up to us and told us thanks for teaching him. So I felt
really good after that. One bad thing about this week was that one of
our Eikaiwa members moved to Tokyo for college, so after English class
we threw a party for her and we had a good bye-bye party. We also
talked to her a ton about the church and explained to her a bunch of
different things regarding being an investigator and what the church
stands for and stuff like that, so hopefully she goes to Eikaiwa in
Tokyo. Our lesson with the Sasaharas was really good. So this week I
received a book entitled "Our Expiriences from the Tohoku Disaster".
It had the testimonies of a ton of people including one from one of
the missionaries in our mission. She is going to be going home at the
same time I am, but her testimony from the Disaster was so powerful
that we had to share it with the Sasahara's, and so they read it and
we are going to ask them today what they thought about it, but it was
a pretty powerful lesson. Using the disaster stories is a really good
way to help people feel closer to God. Because it's so relateable, and
everyone knows about it. Other then that, I had a really good Fast
Sunday this week and then a really good weekly planning, and then last
night I talked to one of our investigators on the phone and she has a
really really strong desire to learn if this is true or not. She is
really trying hard to find out for sure if it's true. I also learned
something really interesting today about Prayer. I was reading in
Moroni 7 and I learned about prayer to an intense deep level. I don't
know if I can put it on words on the screen, but the second paragraph
in the Bible dictionary under "Prayer" mixed with Moroni 7:16-17?, and
any verses that talk about God being a miracle maker in chapter 7,
plus any verse in the Book of Mormon that talks about being prideful
or humble...really opened my eyes to what prayer is for. It really has
a long term effect on nations. One person praying could decide the
fate of a whole nation, or the whole world! And to those that have no
idea what prayer is for, why you do it...Anyone that has a problem
thinking that prayer can change God's mind...Bible Dictionary under
Prayer...2nd Paragraph. Crazy! I know that no one understands what I
mean by any of this, but if you study those scriptures all together
then I'm sure you can figure it out! ^.^v Good luck. Well thats all I
got for today, Hope everyone has a great Spring!
