Isaiah 45:6
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.

To Shirataka and back???

So we had a lot of things happen this week, but it was way fun. Last
Monday we did a Family Home Evening with the Bishops family and we
invited Naoko-san to it. There were a few different people there, but
we did a lesson on the Spirit and how to feel it, and then we talked
about the Bishops and his wifes conversion stories and then afterwards
we played the doubles game, where you wrap the present up and you roll
dice and then if you get doubles then you can open the present...ma,
if you don't know it then oh well. It's way fun! Then on Tuesday Okada
choro and I decided to ride our bikes to Naoko-san's house. We felt
way bad for always calling her and asking her to come to Yamagata
because she lives about an hour away by car, so we decided that we in
turn would ride our bikes to her house to do a lesson! Bad
idea...Tuesday was definitely not a good day. The bike ride was 2
hours 15 minutes one way! Not to mention it was pretty much all up
hill. We also had to pass through 3 tunnels to get to where she lives.
Tunnels are super scary riding your bike through by the way. One wrong
move and you crash into the wall or you go into the street and get ran
over. So in total I think it's about 50 kilometers...crazy! Never
doing that again, unless Naoko-san insists that she will be baptized
if we did it again. ^^v
Later that night we visited the Kikuchi's house and we gave them a For
the Strength of Youth pamphlet and then we had to catch our train
home.
Wednesday we had an Eikaiwa class and then we taught Kin-san and then
Ota-san, and invited Ota-san to come to church, and she said that she
will come to church on the 22nd, so that was good. On Thursday the
Zone Leaders came over and did splits with us and Ruefenacht choro
went with Okada choro to go visit the Sasahara's and invited them to
start praying as a family together. Takei choro and I went to go visit
a sister out in the boonies and we pretty much just dendo'd the whole
time. On Friday we went to the Dentist for Okada choro and then we
went to visit Watanabe-san in Tendo city. We visited her and on
Thursday night she said that she had a dream where she met a man
dressed in white with his hands out and told her that from now on he
was going to be her father. So that was pretty crazy. I'm pretty sure
that Watanabe-san is going to be baptized. It's inevidable...she even
tells us over and over that she wants to be baptized. So it should be
pretty good. Later that night we did weekly planning, and I was super
tired. I've noticed lately that I'm getting way tired! So me and Okada
choro talked about what we can do to loosen up...it was a good
conversation. I'm so grateful for Weekly Planning. Then on Saturday we
had a party here at the church. It was a crepe party and we had about
7 investigators show up. Sasahara-san is way good at cooking crepe's
and then afterwards we played signs! It was a way good bonding
expirience for everyone. Ohh yeah, we also did another lesson with
Naoko-san before the party and talked about repenting and gave her the
October Liahona and told her to read it. The only block she has left
in order to get Baptized is to talk to her family about it. So we
tried to help her out about how she can help her family understand
more about the church. Then yesterday at church we had a really good
sacrament meeting...well Watanabe-san just about died in the hallway
of the church during sacrament meeting, but the Relief Society sisters
and us helped her to a room and had her lay down for a bit...she threw
up a few times but in the end she was ok! Other than that Sacrament
Meeting was pretty good. Then Naoko-san and Watanabe-san stayed for
Sunday School too which was way awesome! And that was my week this
week! Pretty awesome right! I feel like I'm going to die of being so
tired, but ohh well! We'll see how next week is!
